Abstract

A finite element implementation of the third-order Nedelec element over 2D and 3D simplices is presented. The triangular element is obtained by considering one face of the tetrahedron leading to 15 dof. For different third-order elements proposed, the condition numbers of the matrix obtained by the inner products of the normalized vector basis functions (norm equal to 1) are presented.
