THE PROFESSOR AND “THE PIT BULL LADY”

Research output: Chapter in Book/Entry/PoemChapter

Abstract

In this piece, the author discusses her process of becoming a social work professor, one which she thought would require her to hide her enduring commitments to non-human animals. She reflects on how received misogynistic associations between women and animals and their rightful places in academia kept her from unifying her interests for too long.
