Abstract
The reaction of [TBA][ReOBr4(OPPh3)] with [HOC6H4C(H)=NC6H4SH)] and [HOC6H4-2-P(C6H5)2] in methanol yielded [ReO{η3-(OC6H4C(H)= NC6H4S)}{η2-OC6H4 P(C6H5)2}] (1). The coordination environment around rhenium is distorted octahedral with the ONS donors of the Schiff base and the phosphorus of the phosphinophenolate ligand occupying the equatorial plane, while the axial sites are occupied by the oxo group and the oxygen atom of the PO ligand, as shown by single-crystal X-ray analysis of 1.
