Abstract

The results of 12 full scale tests carried out in the 1970's at Lehigh University of fully-welded connections with high shear force, flange-welded web-bolted connections, and fully-bolted moment connections are discussed. They are used as a bench-mark check to provide the final confirmation of the validity of the current as well as the proposed analytical and limit states design procedures in the present AISC specifications.
