abstract = "Violation of Lorentz invariance has been investigated in different processes through many experiments, but no constraints have yet been placed on Lorentz violation in the top-quark sector. The Standard-Model Extension adds Lorentz- violating terms to the amplitude for processes involving top quarks. The Large Hadron Collider will produce many top-antitop events which will couple to any such Lorentz-violating effects. We use these SME corrections to re-weight simulated tt events at LHC energies and investigate the sensitivity of a detector such as ATLAS to signatures of Lorentz violation in the top sector.",
