Abstract

At JLab, we have measured the parity-violating asymmetry in the elastic scattering of polarized electrons from hydrogen. Results published from our first run in 1998 are inconsistent with predictions based on large contributions to the elastic form factors from strange quarks. We have increased our data sample by a factor of four in 1999.
