Abstract

The shortening of the GaGa bond in Trip2GaGaTrip2 (1, TripH  2,4,6‐iPr3C6H3) by 0.17 Å to 2.343(2) Å on formation of the radical anion 1˙− is due, at least in part, to the formation of a one‐electron π bond between the gallium atoms. (Figure Presented.)
