Planar NF-FF with direct optimization-source reconstruction using amplitude only data

Abstract

A direct optimization near field to far field transformation technique using the known phase-less electric field data for the reconstruction of an equivalent magnetic current density was presented. The technique was based on the scanning of the amplitude of the electric field at one or multiple scanning surfaces. The results of the technique using amplitude field data at one and two surfaces were shown by means of synthesized near-field data from a known distribution. The results depicted that the accuracy in antenna far field measurement was guaranteed by the amplitude scanning in two planes.
