Abstract

We discuss some interesting physics goals for measurements of parity violation in deep inelastic scattering with the proposed new 11 GeV polarized electron beam at JLab. Topics discussed include higher twist effects, charge symmetry violation, and the ratio d/u of up quarks to down quarks in the proton structure functions. In addition, we sketch a new type of apparatus that will provide ample statistics at the highest possible values of Q 2.
