Abstract
Geotextile tubes have been successfully used in shoreline protection and stabilization, containment of dredged materials, dewatering of slurry since the early 1980. They have found extensive use in a variety of applications because of their simplicity in placement and constructability, effective high volume containment, cost effectiveness, and minimal impact on the environment. This paper describes six case histories of geotextile tubes projects and provides an overview of analytical and experimental research on geotextile tubes
