Abstract
This paper presents an adaptive multiband detector based on the principle of the generalized likelihood ratio test (GLR). Its detection performance is studied and compared with that of the corresponding single-band GLR detector. The adaptive multiband detector is shown to be able to significantly outperform the single-band under the chosen system constraint, when the amount of data available from a single frequency band is severely limited by the environment.
