Abstract
When designing wireless communication systems, it is very important to know the optimum locations for the base station antennas. In this letter, a model has been developed to set up an optimization problem, the solution of which provides the information for the optimum location of the base station antennas particularly for an indoor environment. Several methods for the optimization of the cost function are presented and the final results are compared with each other. This methodology can be applied for the design and planning of location of base station antennas for indoor wireless communication systems. Two numerical examples have been presented to illustrate the application of this methodology.
