Abstract

In this review talk we will present our recent results on thin composite sheets for various transformations of electromagnetic waves (polarizers, thin planar lenses, absorbers, etc.) These sheets exhibit both electric and magnetic responses which allows realization of non-reflecting (Huygens) surfaces and, in addition, we make use of magnetoelectric coupling phenomena to exploit all possible functionalities and for independent control of the electromagnetic response from the two sides of the sheet.
