Abstract

We report results on inclusive production of the charmed baryon c+ from e+e- annihilations at s=10.5 GeV. Measurements are presented of the inclusive cross section times branching fraction for the continuum production of c+ as observed in six different decay modes, and of a new, improved value of the c+ mass. The inclusive cross section times the branching fraction into pK-+ is measured to be 10.01.51.5 pb summed over all xp. The branching fractions of c+ into pK»0, pK»0+-, +, +-+, and -K++ relative to that into pK-+ are measured to be 0.440.070.05, 0.430.120.04, 0.180.030.03, 0.650.110.12, and 0.150.040.03, respectively. The c+ mass is measured to be 2284.70.60.7 MeV/c2. The measured momentum distributions for continuum production of c+ are compared to analytical fragmentation functions and to other measurements.
