Abstract

A dual impedance probe to measure the bubble velocity and the gas volume fraction in a bubbly liquid was presented. The residence time of bubble within the measuring volume of the probe determined the gas volume fraction. The bubbly velocity was obtained for the cross correlation of the signal of two closely spaced identical probes.
