Abstract

The paper discusses the details of developing a systematic method for generative process planning taking environmental issues into consideration. The proposed approach to the automatic design of process planning is based on artificial intelligence techniques coupled with appropriate heuristic searching methods. A case study has been presented to illustrate the methodology.
