Abstract

The author examine the performance degradation of the GLR algorithm in the presence of the above two types of nonhomogeneity. We note that Chen and Reed contains a study of the MSMI performance with a different signal contamination model. For convenience of the discussion we confine our attention only to the temporal processing part of a multichannel system in this paper. The extension of the results to the spatial processing (e.g., the array processing) and the joint spatial-temporal domain processing is theoretically straightforward.
