Abstract

In this paper, we look at the problem of radiation from arbitrarily shaped printed circuits. However, the method is validated by computing and comparing results for the radiation from an open end microstrip line. The uniqueness of the present approach is to include the possibility of source dependent modes, higher order modes, complex modes and the like. The separation of the incident and the reflected waves from the other modes is made possible by the matrix pencil approach. The electrical parameters defined are then associated with the incident and reflected waves.
