Abstract

The synthesis and structural characterization of the alkaline-earth thiolates [Sr(18-crown-6)(hmpa)2][SMes*]2 and [Ba(18-crown-6)(hmpa)(SMes*)][SMes*], displaying rare ion association modes with only one or no cation-thiolate linkages are presented.
