N2 - This work presents the performance of the flame fuel cell based on the anode-supported solid oxide fuel cell (AS-SOFC) with a methane flame, which serves not only as a fuel reformer but also as a heat source to sustain the fuel cell operation. The anode-supported SOFC showed an extraordinary fuel cell performance of 475 mW.cm-2 by using a methane flame. The fuel cell performance was determined by fuel cell temperature and fuel concentration which varied with the equivalent ratio and methane flow rate.
