Abstract

A new technique has been proposed regarding how to terminate the mesh for finite‐difference and finite‐element techniques in an exact fashion. Earlier works have dealt with the application of this technique to electrostatic and electromagnetic (TM case) only. This article extends the method to deal with the electromagnetic case but for the TE polarization. Numerical results are presented to compare the accuracy of this technique with the conventional methods‐of‐moments approach. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
