Abstract

Applying the method of stationary phase to the dyadic Green's function for layered anisotropic medium, the explicit expression for the radiated electric field from an arbitrarily oriented Hertzian dipole over layered gyroelectric medium is obtained. Numerical analysis for the radiation of elementary dipole over half-space gyroelectric medium is presented and the results are discussed. A relation between the radiated field and total internal reflection of the characteristic waves in gyroelectric medium is revealed.
