Abstract
The circular polarization Pγ of the 279-keV γ ray in Tl203 and the 401-keV γ ray in As75 has been measured using a Compton polarimeter and a current-measuring technique. The result for Tl203 is Pγ=(2±5) ×10-6. For As75 evidence for a nonzero circular polarization, Pγ=(-0.6±0.2)×10-4, is found. The role of the electron-capture bremsstrahlung in the case of As75 is discussed.
