Abstract

A cascade wake experiment intended to improve wake modelling in an airfoil analysis is discussed. The experiment included extensive measurements of the near and far wakes, trailing edge boundary layers, and airfoil surface static pressures. The measured wake displacement surface and computed boundary layers were used in conjunction with a cascade potential flow solver to demonstrate the feasibility of modelling the viscous aspects of cascade flow.
