Abstract
A technique for estimating ther spatial and temporal parameters of multiple transient signals impinging on a uniform linear array is proposed. Each transient signal is assumed to be the sum of complex exponentials arriving at the array from a different direction. The technique is based on the subspace decomposition and matrix pencil (SDMP) approach which can be implemented by solving for eigenvectors and eigenvalues. Simulations show that the subspace-decomposition and matrix-pencil method can achieve the Cramer-Rao bound.
