EFFICIENT QUANTIZATION OF NOISE-CORRUPTED SIGNALS.

Research output: Chapter in Book/Entry/PoemChapter

Abstract

The problem of efficient quantization of noise-corrupted signals is considered. The quantization system consists of an estimator and a quantizer. The estimator generates an estimate of the signal from noisy observations. The quantizer generates the quantized output based on the signal estimate. The situation when noisy observations are interrupted by an interruption mechanism is also considered. Two realizations of the quantization system are discussed. Numerical examples are presented.
