Abstract

The CLEO detector operating at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring (CESR) consists of many elements: Inner Proportional Chamber, Inner Drift Chamber, Endcap Shower Chambers, Outer Drift Chambers, Cerenkov Counters, dE/dx Proportional Wire Chambers, Time-of-Flight Counters, Octant Shower Chambers, and Muon Chambers. We describe the initial performance of CLEO. Also recent physics results will be presented.
