Abstract

A flash photomicrographic method and modified dye‐light transmittance technique are employed to measure size distributions and mixing frequencies in a turbulently agitated flow vessel. This liquid‐liquid dispersion is nearly spatially homogenous. Mixing frequencies are strongly dependent on impeller speed and moderately dependent on holdup fraction.
