Critical ZN symmetric spin models in strip geometries: A Monte Carlo study

Abstract

Monte Carlo simulation is used to investigate the finite-size scaling of the free energy and correlation lengths in 2D spin models with discrete ZN symmetry. The numerical results are compared with predictions from conformal invariance for a variety of transverse boundary conditions.
