Abstract

This paper describes a fuzzy logic control method of the automotive active suspension. The active suspension has the merit of the flexibility in force control but also has the difficulty in trading off the acceleration of body, suspension deflection, tire deflection to improve the performance. The performance of fuzzy logic controlled active suspension is compared with that of optimal controller in several simulated scenarios.
