Abstract
A hemispherical dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) with very high permittivity was analyzed using WIPL-D technique. The equivalent electric and magnetic currents placed over the dielectric boundary surface were determined from the boundary conditions for tangential field components. The results show that a hemispherical resonator is composed of a hollow dielectric hemisphere with permittivity of 169.
