Abstract

For the estimation of twodimensional (2-D) directions of plane wave arrival, an L-shaped array of sensors has 37% better accuracy potential than the conventional cross array. Computationally efficient maximum likelihood algorithm for the L-shaped array is available to achieve its full potential.
