Abstract

The traditional DCEM is not accurate in the far and near field regions, and it is efficient only when the source and field points are confined in one layer. In this paper, a new Enhanced DCIM without any quasi-static and surface wave extraction is introduced and it is accurate both in the near and far field regions. We also introduce the new two dimensional DCIM (2D-DCIM) so that the closed-form GF can be obtained when the source and fields are in different layers. 2D-DCIM can increase the efficiency of GF calculation for structures with vertical dimensions such as vias in multi-layered media.
