Abstract

We have measured the cross section for production of events in the A1 mass region for two reactions: (1) π+p→π+ρ0p and (2) π-n→π-ρ-p. The results of these experiments, both conducted at an incident pion momentum of ∼7 GeV/c, are interpreted within the framework of dual models of inelastic hadron collisions.
