A penalty duality method for the budiansky-sanders shell model

Abstract

Starting from the Budiansky-Sanders shell model, we introduce a perturbed formulation based on a penalty-duality argument for which only C ° finite elements are required. An error estimate and numerical procedure for solving the finite element model are given.
