Abstract

Results are presented for an experimental investigation of subcooled water films flowing down a vertical tube. Heat transfer coefficient and film breakdown heat flux data were obtained for 25.4 mm diameter copper tube uniformly heated. Heat flux were varied up to 20 kW/m2 with a film Reynolds number of up to 1100.
