Abstract

The Me₃N generated in the carbonyl labilising reaction of Me₃NO with [Mn(η⁶-C₆R₆)(CO) ₃]PF₆ (R = H, Me) deprotonates the subsequently co-ordinated thiophenol affording the novel neutral complexes [Mn(η⁶-C₆R₆)(CO)₂SPh].
