A combined tension-bending test for assessing mixed-mode delamination growth predictions

Abstract

A combined tension-bending test is proposed and evaluated for use for delamination toughness testing of laminated composite. The advantage of the test is that it is simple to run and can provide simultaneous in-plane and out-of-plane loading using only a uniaxial load frame.
