Personal profile

Anita Kuiken is the Librarian to the Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics at Syracuse University Libraries. As a liaison librarian, she provides research support services, information literacy instruction, outreach, subject-area collections requisitions, and promotes scholarly communication initiatives to the School of Social Work, Public Health, Food Studies, Nutrition Science and Dietetics, Human Development and Family Science, Marriage and Family Therapy, Sport Management, Exercise Science, and the University-wide Aging Studies Institute. Her professional experience also includes work in Access Services, Interlibrary Loan, Stack Management, Bindery, and supervisory roles at other institutions. Anita is currently a member of the Medical Library Association where she maintains professional credentialing through the Medical Librarian Association’s (MLA) Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP), American Library Association (ALA), the Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL, a division of ALA), the Agriculture, Food, & Human Values Society (AFHVS), and the United States Agricultural Information Network (USAIN). She holds a BS in History from Northeastern University and her MSLIS from Drexel University.
