Anita Kuiken

Anita Kuiken is the Librarian to the Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics at Syracuse University Libraries. As a subject librarian, she provides research support services, information literacy instruction, outreach, subject-area collections requisitions, and promotes scholarly communication initiatives to the School of Social Work, Public Health, Food Studies, Nutrition, Human Development and Family Science, Marriage and Family Therapy, Sport Management, Exercise Science, and the University-wide Aging Studies Institute. Her professional experience also includes work in Access Services, Interlibrary Loan, Stack Management, Bindery, and supervisory roles at other institutions. Anita is currently a member of the Medical Library Association where she maintains professional credentialing through the Medical Librarian Association’s (MLA) Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP), the American Library Association (ALA), and the Agriculture, Food, & Human Values Society. She holds a BS in History from Northeastern University and her MSLIS from Drexel University.
